SAB hearing cancelled for today
The hearing of the case brought by the Competition Commission against SAB and
its appointed distributors will no longer take place today, as previously
reported. This is because the witness under cross-examination, Mr Peter Dodson:
CEO of Metcash Trading, is not feeling well.
However tomorrow`s hearing will go ahead as scheduled, from 10H00. The Tribunal
will hear SAB`s argument that the Commission has not properly made out its case
against it. If the Commission opposes the application and Tribunal finds in
SAB`s favour, the Commission might be asked to amend or supplement its
complaint.
