TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on
21 and 22 October 2010 respectively, 12,500 and 10,000 shares were transferred
out of the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing
share options under the Company`s ESOS plan.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,248,238 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,684,476 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
