LEGAL DISPUTES
Notice is given that Cipla Medpro is at present involved in an arbitration
dispute with Reckitt Benckiser (SA) (Proprietary) Limited ("RBSA") wherein RBSA
claims damages from Cipla Medpro arising from a manufacturing agreement at its
factory in Durban. The claims instituted by RBSA are for approximately R300
million. Cipla Medpro has counterclaimed damages from RBSA in the same
arbitration dispute. The counter claim is approximately R298 million.
A further announcement will be made as soon as further information and progress
in the case have been made.
Notice is also given that Cipla Medpro has lodged a damages claim against Pfizer
Limited and Pfizer Laboratories (Proprietary) Limited ("Pfizer") arising from
damages caused by Pfizer`s incorrectly obtained interdict against Cipla Medpro`s
amlodipine besylate products in 2003. The claim so lodged is for approximately
R198 million.
A further announcement thereon will also be made as soon as further information
and progress in the case have been made.
