TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 26
and 27 October 2010 respectively, 2,912 and 18,000 shares were transferred out
of the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share
options under the Company`s SAYE and ESOS plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,227,326 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,705,388 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
