CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the following
information is disclosed:
Shareholders are advised of the appointment of Ms Nolitha Fakude as an
independent non-executive director and Chairman of the Nomination and
Transformation committee of the Company with effect from 4 November 2010. Ms
Fakude is currently an executive director of Sasol Limited responsible for the
world wide Human Resources of the Sasol group as well as the group`s brand,
corporate affairs, government relations and transformation. Her portfolio
includes responsibility for supply chain, Information Management and Safety,
Health and Environment. She serves as a director on several Sasol subsidiaries
including being Chairman of Sasol Mining, Sasol Oil and Sasol Solvents. Ms
Fakude was previously a member of the group executive committee at Nedbank and
held director positions at Woolworths Holdings, Harmony Gold and Bigen Africa.
Ms Fakude has served as managing director of the Black Management Forum ("BMF")
from 2001 - 2003, and non-executive president of BMF from 2003 - 2006. She
appeared in the Financial Mail`s list of the twenty most influential business
women in 2004.
Ms Fakude holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and an Honours degree in Psychology
from the University of Fort Hare and has attended the Senior Executive Programme
at the Harvard Business School in the United States.
The board of Gijima wishes to welcome Ms Fakude as a valued member of the board.
