TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that the company is in the process of finalising its
results for the six months ended 31 August 2010, and expects to reflect a loss
per share of between 22.14 cents and 24.86 cents and a headline loss per share
of between 20.22 cents and 22.58 cents when compared to the loss and headline
loss per share of 13.6 cents and 11.8 cents, respectively, for the six months
ended 31 August 2009.
The trading conditions experienced in the previous financial year prevailed for
the period under review and, together with the write-off of long outstanding
debtors, the strong South African currency and losses made on cellular and fibre
optic installation contracts in Africa, contributed to the anticipated increased
basic loss and headline loss for the six months to 31 August 2010. The company
has however secured further contracts in its Power Lines Division, which should
have a positive impact on the remainder of the 2011 financial year.
The financial information on which this trading update is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
The company`s results for the six months ended 31 August 2010 are expected to be
released on SENS on or about 17 November 2010.
