TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 8
and 9 November 2010 respectively, 12,607 and 15,321 shares were transferred out
of the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share
options under the Company`s SIP, SAYE and ESOS plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,129,231 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,803,483 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
