TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 11
and 12 November 2010 respectively, 47,000 and 16,896 shares were transferred out
of the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share
options under the Company`s ESOS plan.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,065,335 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,867,379 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
