TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 23
November 2010 986 shares were transferred out of the Company`s holding of
treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share options under the Company`s
SAYE plan.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,049,349 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,883,365 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
