TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies
are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that
a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the
period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial results
for the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that Zaptronix is currently finalising its annual
results for the year ended 31 August 2010. Zaptronix is expected to reflect a
basic earnings and headline earnings per share of between 0.45 cents and 0.55
cents compared to a basic and headline loss per share of 0.68 cents for the
previous period.
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement dated 6th September 2010
announcing the acquisition of the business risks solutions ("the business")
from I to I Technology Solutions Ltd ("I to I") and the entitlement to the net
profit of the business in terms of an Agency Agreement. The increase in
Zaptronix`s earnings is mainly a result of the inclusion of the earnings of
the business from 1 March 2010 to 31 August 2010 in terms of the Agency
Agreement that has become unconditional. Shareholders should, however, bear in
mind that the inflow of future earnings of the business, will only continue if
the suspensive conditions of the transaction, particularly the approval of the
transaction by the shareholders, are met.
The prospects of Zaptronix have further been improved by recently awarded
contracts from "Blue Chip" clients, amounting to R5,0m, to the Site Risk
Solutions division.
The financial information on which this trading update is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by Zaptronix`s external auditors.
The audited results of the company are expected to be published on SENS by the
end of November 2010.
