TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 29
and 30 November 2010 1,200 and 1,685 shares respectively were transferred out of
the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share
options under the Company`s ESOS and SAYE plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,046,485 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,886,229 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
