Notification is made in accordance with LR 9.6.14 that Mr John Patrick Daly, an
Executive Director of British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Company"), having
previously been designated by Brown & Williamson Holdings, Inc. ("B&W") (a
wholly owned indirect subsidiary of the Company) as its nominee to join the
Board of Reynolds American Inc. ("RAI"), has been appointed a Director of RAI
with effect from 1 December 2010. The Company, through B&W, has an interest in
RAI of approximately 42%.
