CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the Board of Directors of Merafe (the "Board") is pleased to announce
the appointments of Mr Gerald Mfanyana Salanje and Ms Karabo Tshailane Nondumo
as independent non-executive directors with effect from 1 December 2010.
Mr Salanje has vast financial experience and is currently the Chief Executive
Officer of Mfanyana Financial Solutions contracted to the State Information
Technology Agency (Pty) Ltd (SITA). Mr Salanje was previously group financial
director of Thebe Investment Corporation (Pty) Ltd and senior audit partner at
Ernst & Young.
Ms Nondumo is currently executive head of corporate finance at Vodacom Group
Ltd. Ms Nondumo was previously CEO as well as the co-founding shareholder of
AWCA Investment Holdings Ltd. She is a former associate and executive assistant
to the Group Executive Chairman of Shanduka Group. Ms Nondumo is a Chartered
Accountant and completed her articles with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She is an
independent non executive director of Rolfes Technology Holdings Ltd (Chair:
Remuneration Committee) and Topfix Holdings Ltd (Chair: Audit Committee).
Merafe would like to welcome Mr Salanje and Ms Nondumo to the Board.
