APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Board of Directors of AVI is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Abe
Thebyane to the Board as an independent non-executive director. The appointment
is made with effect from 3 December 2010.
Mr Thebyane is the Executive Head: Human Resources for Anglo Platinum Limited.
He is also a member of the Board of various subsidiaries of Anglo Platinum
Limited and a member of the Board of the Sunflower Housing Company. Mr Thebyane
holds a B.Admin from the University of the North, a Postgraduate Diploma in HR
Management from Wits Business School, a Diploma in Company Direction from the
Graduate Institute of Management & Technology, as well as an MBA from De
Montfort University, UK. Mr Thebyane previously held senior positions with Iscor
Limited, General Electric SA (Pty) Ltd and Gemini Consulting.
