TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 7
December 2010 596, 7,880 and 4,077 shares were transferred out of the
Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share
options under the Company`s SAYE, ESOS and SIP plans respectively. The Company
further announces that on 8 December 2010, 1,008 shares were transferred out
of the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share
options under the Company`s ESOS plan.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 22,995,124 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,937,590 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
