BUSINESS UPDATE - VOLUNTARY STATEMENT
Altech wishes to inform shareholders regarding certain factors which could
affect its results for its current financial year, ending 28 February 2011. This
is in accordance with Altech`s policy of timely disclosure and notification of
relevant information to shareholders.
As stated in Altech`s interim report for the six months ended 31 August 2010,
certain of the factors which adversely affected Altech`s results for that
period, were essentially non-recurring in nature.
It is now clear that, due to continuing adverse global and local economic
conditions as well as currency volatility factors, trading conditions within the
Altech group`s operations are being negatively affected. Whilst the second six
months of the group`s current financial year are still expected to reflect some
improvement on the first six months, it now appears unlikely that the group`s
results for the full financial year will show any growth on the results for the
preceding financial year.
The financial information on which this statement is based has not been reviewed
or reported on by Altech`s auditors.
The results for the year ending 28 February 2011 are expected to be published on
SENS on 20 April 2011.
