APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND DIRECTOR OF COUNTRY ROAD
Woolworths advises its shareholders that its subsidiary, Country Road Limited
(CTY) listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, today, announced the appointment
of Mr. Howard Goldberg as its new Chief executive officer and board director
with effect from 7 March 2011.
Mr Goldberg has over 30 years of senior executive management experience in
retail and wholesale manufacturing industries in Australia. Most recently Mr
Goldberg was Managing Director of the General Pants Group. Prior to joining the
General Pants Group, he was the CEO of Canterbury International Australasia and
he previously held senior positions at Best and Less and Pacific Brands.
Mr Goldberg also sits on the L`Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Board as a non-
executive director.
Country Road Chairman, Simon Susman, said: "Mr Goldberg has exceptional retail
experience and a sound understanding of the Australian market place. We are
delighted to welcome him to the business."
