TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that on 22
December 2010, 18,250 shares were transferred out of the Company`s holding of
treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share options under the Company`s
ESOS plan.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 22,927,066 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,320,005,648 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
