FATAL ACCIDENT AT ZONDEREINDE MINE
The management of Northam reports, with deep regret, the death of an employee,
Mr Antonio Alberto Bila, in a tramming accident some 1480 metres underground
yesterday morning, Sunday 9 January 2011 at its Zondereinde mine in Limpopo
Province.
Stoping operations at the mine have been suspended pending the conclusion of an
internal investigation into the cause of the accident.
