SRP - The Securities Regulation Panel - Appointment of new members
The Securities Regulation Panel ("the Panel") is pleased to announce the
appointment by the Minister of Trade and Industry of a new body of members to
the Panel effective from 6 December 2010. The new members who have been
appointed to serve on the Panel for a period of three years are:
Mr Mark Brits (nominator: The Banking Association S.A.)
Mr Juanito Damons (nominator: Foundation for African Business and Consumer
Services)
Ms Annalie de Bruyn (nominator: JSE Limited)
Mr Peter Dempsey (nominator: The Association for Savings and Investments SA)
Mr Andile Khumalo (nominator: The Association for the Advancement of Black
Accountants of Southern Africa)
Mr Russel Loubser (nominator: JSE Limited)
Prof Stephanie Luiz (nominator: The Society of Law Teachers of Southern Africa)
Mr Nano Matlala (nominator: Law Society of South Africa)
The ex-officio members of the Panel are:
Adv. Rory Voller (nominee for the Minister of Trade and Industry)
Mr Shan Ramburuth (Competition Commissioner)
At the first meeting of the new Panel held on 13 January 2011 Mr N.A Matlala was
nominated as the Chairperson of the Panel.
