Director Resignation and Appointment of New Chairman
Firestone Energy Limited, "Firestone" (ASX/JSE: FSE), wishes to announce the
resignation of Mr John Dreyer from the position of Chairman and Independent
Non Executive Director of the Company, effective immediately.
The Firestone Board wishes to express its gratitude to Mr Dreyer for his
contribution to the Company during the term of his tenure. Mr Dreyer leaves
the Company poised to embark on its next stage of development, having made
solid progress toward establishing future off-take contracts. The Board wishes
Mr Dreyer every success in his future endeavors.
Additionally, the Firestone Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
David Perkins, an existing Non-Executive Director of the Company, to the role
of Chairman. Mr Perkins was elected to the position of Chairman by his fellow
Board members and assumes the position effective close of business today.
Mr Perkins is the principal of Perkins Solicitors and is a Non-Executive
Director of Australian stockbroking firm, BBY Limited. He was previously
General Counsel and Company Secretary for the JP Morgan Chase and Company
(formerly The Chase Manhattan Bank) for Australia New Zealand and Oceania.
Mr Perkins has Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Law degrees from the
University of New South Wales, a post graduate Diploma of Corporate
Administration and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company
Directors and Chartered Secretaries Australia. He is also a member of the Law
Society of New South Wales.
