TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that the headline earnings per share and basic
earnings per share for the year ended 31 December 2010 ("the current year")
will be higher than the headline earnings per share and basic earnings per
share for the seven months ended 31 December 2009 (being 8.1 cents and 8.1
cents respectively) by more than 20%.
This is partly due to the current year incorporating results from trading for
a full 12 months compared with the previous comparative period which
incorporated results from trading for seven months. The company had changed
its year-end from 31 May to 31 December in 2009.
There is not a reasonable degree of certainty at this stage as to the range,
within 20%, by which the headline earnings per share and basic earnings per
share for the current year will be higher than those for the previous
comparative period.
More specific information, as required by the JSE Listings Requirements, will
be provided to shareholders as soon as there is a reasonable degree of
certainty.
