BUSINESS UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that the Group has experienced a challenging trading
period for the quarter ended 25 December 2010 ("the Period"), during which
turnover increased to R9,6 billion, up 9,5% from the previous corresponding
period.
Furthermore, the performance has reflected strong volume growth but has been
impacted by low food inflation. These factors, coupled with a highly competitive
trading environment have had some effect on the Group`s profitability for the
Period.
The above financial information has not been reviewed or reported on by the
Group`s auditors.
The Group`s financial results for the six months ending 31 March 2011 will be
released on SENS on or about 11 May 2011.
