ACCIDENT AT BUFFELSFONTEIN GOLD MINE CLAIMS LIFE OF EMPLOYEE
Simmers regrets to announce that an accident involving explosive material at
the Buffelsfontein Gold Mine has claimed the life of a mine employee and
seriously injured one employee. The accident occurred on 17 February at the
mine`s number 7 shaft.
All work at the affected area has been stopped until a full enquiry is
completed.
The Board and management of Simmers extend their sincere condolences to the
family, friends and colleagues of the deceased and will ensure that the
injured receives the best care and attention available.
