NOTICE : TOPDWH non barrier event.
At approximately 1500 today a large market capitalisation stock was pushed
into a volatility auction which caused the TOP40 index to temporarily print at
a low of 28 202 which was below the barrier level of the listed warrant
TOPDWH. After consultation with the JSE it was agreed that this was a trader
error which could not be corrected because the error trades did not qualify
for contra trades in terms of JSE Rules and that there would be no changes to
the official index levels of the day.
However due to the erroneous nature of the print, Deutsche Bank has exercised
its discretion to deem that the wave warrant TOPDWH has not hit the barrier
level and will continue to trade until such time as the relevant level is
breached.
Deutsche Bank has made this decision in the interests of market participants
in this product, however in no way does this represent a precedent for any
future trading or barrier events.
