DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON BHP BILLITON PLC HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES - ("BILIHH")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of BHP Billiton plc
have declared an interim dividend of 316.994050 South African cents per ordinary
share payable on 31 March 2011 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in the books
of the company at the close of business on 11 March 2011.
The currency exchange rate applicable for the dividend is 6.891175.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities,
BILIHH, will receive a BHP Billiton plc dividend of 316.994050 South African
cents per security on 31 March 2011 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated
in the Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day
to trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be 4
March 2011.
BILIHH Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend
from the commencement of business on 7 March 2011, and the record date will be
11 March 2011.
