VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT: REUNERT BUYS ECN TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Electronics and electrical engineering company, Reunert, today announced that it
is has acquired the business of ECN Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd ("ECN") for an
undisclosed purchase price. The transaction is subject to approval by the South
African Competition Authorities.
ECN`s existing portfolio of IP based telecommunications services will add
converged voice and data capabilities to Reunert subsidiary Nashua Mobile.
John Holdsworth the CEO of ECN said, "The acquisition will provide significant
value and benefit to the customers of both businesses as a result of the
enhanced and complementary product offerings and development focused on
converged voice and data and fixed and mobile solutions. There are also
excellent opportunities to share knowledge and leverage expertise across the
group, which along with our combined product sets and technology platforms will
strengthen our ability to serve customers".
Reunert`s CEO Nick Wentzel said, "This acquisition is an important milestone in
complementing the products offered by Nashua Mobile and that of the larger
Nashua group. One of the aims of the Nashua group is to offer total solutions
comprising office automation, telecommunications and information technology
services to its business customers."

value to our endeavours to bring fully converged services to our customers. With
the migration from Least Cost Routing to VoIP, this addition positions us
