TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20%
from that of the previous corresponding period.
Accordingly, a review of the financial results for the six months period ended
28 February 2011 by management has indicated that earnings per share and
headline earnings per share are expected to be between 3.5 cents and 6.6 cents,
compared to the earnings per share and headline earnings per share of 15.5 cents
for the six month period ended 28 February 2010.
B&W has experienced difficult trading conditions during this period; however
this is expected to improve for the second half of the 2011 financial year.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by B&W`s auditors. B&W`s interim results are expected to
be released on SENS on or about Monday, 18 April 2011.
