RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
The Company was notified on 30 March 2011 that on 25 March 2011 Mr J Bowles, a
person discharging managerial responsibilities, sold 3,618 British American
Tobacco p.l.c. shares ("the Shares") at a price of GBP24.0401 per Share and that
on 29 March 2011 Mrs C Bowles, a person connected with Mr Bowles, sold 3,900
Shares at a price of GBP24.4001 per Share.
Following these transactions, Mr Bowles has a total beneficial and family
interest in 35,732 Shares (including 17,893 Deferred Shares).
The independent Trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trust
notified the Company on 30 March 2011 that it had released the following number
of British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") to the
following persons discharging managerial responsibility under the Deferred Share
Bonus Scheme 2008 Award (the "2008 Award"):
