CHANGE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the following
information is disclosed:
It is with regret that Optimum Coal announces the resignation of Henry White,
Executive Director, Operations effective from 30 April 2011, as he wishes to
devote time to managing his health.
Henry has been involved directly and indirectly with Optimum Coal for the past
24 years and has contributed greatly to the success of both Optimum Collieries
and the Optimum Group.
The replacement for his role will be announced in due course and until such
time, Fanie de Waal (Acting General Manager: Optimum Collieries) and Piet Steyn
(General Manager: Koornfontein Mines) will be reporting directly to the CEO on
all operational matters.
Mike Teke, CEO of Optimum Coal said; "I will always value Henry`s contribution
to the success of our business and respect him as a man of integrity. We wish
Henry good health and success for the future."
