Appointment of Mr Craig Shaw as Platmin`s new Chief Financial Officer
05 April 2011, Toronto: Platmin Limited ("Platmin" or the "Company") (TSX/AIM:
PPN; JSE: PLN) today announced the appointment of Mr Craig Shaw as Chief
Financial Officer. Mr Wayne Koonin, Platmin`s current CFO, will hand over his
responsibilities to Mr Shaw during the course of April.
Mr Shaw qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994 and started his career with
KPMG. For the past 14 years, Mr Shaw has worked in the resources sector and
investment banking environment in South Africa, the Europe and the Middle East.
He is currently Joint Head of the Natural Resources/Mining Corporate Finance
team at Investec Corporate Finance, a division of Investec Bank Limited.
Prior to joining Investec, Mr Shaw managed various listings on the London Stock
Exchange and was the CFO of Cunico Nickel. Cunico has operations in Europe, the
Middle East and Asia.
Platmin`s chairman Brian Gilbertson said: "We are delighted to have attracted a

About Platmin
Platmin`s primary asset is the Pilanesburg Platinum Mine, which is currently
building up to full production. The focus of the Company is on achieving the
metal production forecasts predicted in the bankable feasibility study for the
mine and participating, through judicious investment, in the considerable value
creation potential which lies in the optimal development and exploitation of the
western limb of the Bushveld Complex. Platmin also holds interests in projects
on the eastern limb.
