APPOINTMENT OF A NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Metorex is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas James as its new
Chief Operating Officer with effect 1 May 2011. Nicholas is a professional
engineer who holds a Bachelor of Science Mining Engineering degree and a
Graduate Diploma in Engineering: Mineral Economics, both from the University of
the Witwatersrand. He has 30 years mining experience and this includes the role
of Chief Operating Officer at Rand Uranium over the past three years. He has
experience as a mining consultant and has worked on South African gold,
platinum, uranium and chrome mines as well as pyrite and copper operations in
Zambia.
Terence Goodlace, CEO, said: "I welcome Nicholas to Metorex and look forward to
his contribution as we optimise current assets and develop new copper mines.
His skills, knowledge and experience will complement the Metorex corporate team
as well as the mine operating teams in Zambia and the DRC".
