BASIS OF PREPARATION FOR THE UNAUDITED INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 28
FEBRUARY 2011
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement of 20 April 2011 regarding
the unaudited interim results for the period ended 28 February 2011.
Shareholders are advised that the abridged group interim financial information
was prepared in accordance with IAS 34 - Interim financial reporting, as well as
the AC 500 standards and should be read in conjunction with the annual financial
statements for the year ended 31 August 2010, which have been prepared in
accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS"), the South
African Companies Act, 1973, as amended and the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited.
The unaudited interim financial results for the six months ended 28 February
2011 were prepared in accordance with the Group accounting policies, which
comply with IFRS and are consistent with those applied in the previous financial
period.
