APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Platfields is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Seth Radebe CA (SA)
as an independent non-executive director, to the board of Platfields, with
effect from 5 May 2011. Seth will also serve as a member of the company`s
Audit and Risk Committee as well as the company`s Remuneration and
Nominations Committee.
Platfields Chief Executive Mr Bongani Mbindwane, has welcomed Mr Radebe to
the company`s board. "We look forward to drawing on Seth`s extensive
financial and auditing experience. This will stand us in good stead as the
Audit and Risk Committee`s job becomes more onerous against the background
of implementing the recommendations of King III."
Seth previously held senior audit positions in both the public and private
sectors including PKF (a leading international business advisory
organization), Deloitte & Touche, the South African Revenue Services and the
Auditor General`s Office. He was also a non-executive director of the South
African Forestry Company Limited.
Seth is currently the managing director at Rebahale Inc., an audit, tax and
advisory services firm, a non-executive director on various boards and
chairs a number of Audit Committees including that of Africa Cellular Towers
Limited (an AltX listed entity). Seth serves as independent Audit Committee
chair of the Municipal Demarcation Board and as independent non-executive
director of Yebo Yethu (a Vodacom empowerment vehicle). He is also a
performance adviser to various municipalities.
