APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR OF AVENG GRINAKER-LTA
The Aveng Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Grahame McCaig as
the Managing Director of Aveng Grinaker-LTA with effect from 1 November
2011. Mr McCaig will assume the role from Eugene Erasmus, who will retire
from the Aveng Group at that time.
Mr McCaig is currently the Managing Director of Taylor Woodrow International
(Gulf) based in Dubai. He started his career as a Grinaker bursar in 1985
and subsequently worked for Grinaker. Mr McCaig holds a BSc Civil
Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town. Previously, Mr McCaig
occupied senior management positions at Dutco Balfour Beatty LLC, Gammon
Construction Hong Kong and Khansaheb Civil Engineering LLC.
Mr McCaig has been an active member of the local UAE Industry and was
appointed as the inaugural Chairman of BuildSafeUAE, an industry led
initiative aimed at improving overall Industry HSE performance.
Until such time as Mr McCaig assumes his appointment, Mr Erasmus will
continue to re-position the Aveng Grinaker-LTA business for sustainable
growth and will assist in the handover to Mr McCaig.
The Aveng Group extends its appreciation to Mr Erasmus for his significant
contribution and guidance in managing Aveng Grinaker-LTA.
