SUPPLEMENTARY TRADING STATEMENT
Platfields listed in the Basic Resources - Platinum and Precious metals sector
of the Main Board of the JSE on 14 December 2010 and is set to release its first
set of financial statements as a listed company in respect of the year ended 28
February 2011 by 30 May 2011.
Platfields is an exploration company with a focus on precious metals exploration
and mining.
In respect of the year ended 28 February 2010 Platfields reported a loss per
share ("LPS") and headline loss per share ("HLPS") of 26.37 cents per share. The
company expects to report LPS and HLPS of between 17.14 and 11.86 for the year
ended 28 February 2011, translating to a decrease of between 35% and 55%
respectively from LPS and HLPS for the year ended 28 February 2010, as
communicated to shareholders on 13 May 2011.
The information on which this trading statement has been based has not yet been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
The group`s annual financial results for the year ended 28 February 2011 are
expected to be released on or about 30 May 2011.
