NOTICE TO PREFERENCE SHAREHOLDERS
Dividend No. 146
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Friday, 20 May 2011 the Directors of AECI Limited
declared a dividend at the rate of 5.5 per cent per annum for the six months
ending Wednesday, 15 June 2011 payable on Wednesday, 15 June 2011 to holders of
preference shares recorded in the books of the Company at the close of business
on Friday, 10 June 2011.
The last day to trade cum dividend will be Friday, 3 June 2011 and shares will
commence trading ex dividend as from Monday, 6 June 2011.
The dividend is declared in pound sterling and payment will be made from the
offices of the transfer secretaries in South Africa and the United Kingdom on
Wednesday, 15 June 2011.
Dividends payable from South Africa will be paid in South African currency at
the rate of 31.20728 cents per share in accordance with the exchange rate ruling
on Monday, 16 May 2011 (1 pound sterling = R11.3481).
Dividends payable from the United Kingdom office will be subject to such tax
deductions as are prescribed by United Kingdom legislation unless a certificate
exempting the shareholder concerned from such tax deduction is received before
Friday, 3 June 2011.
Any change of address or dividend instruction must be received on or before
Friday, 3 June 2011.
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised from Monday, 6
June 2011 to Friday, 10 June 2011, both days inclusive.
