REUNERT LIMITED ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR DESIGNATE
Reunert today announced that Manuela Krog has been appointed as Financial
Director Designate of Reunert with effect from 15 July 2011. She will be
formally appointed as Financial Director of Reunert with effect from 15 November
2011, being the day following Reunert`s announcement of its year-end results for
2011. She will succeed David Rawlinson who will on 14 November 2011, retire as
Financial Director and from the board.
Trevor Munday, Chairman of Reunert, commented on the appointment.
"It was regarded in the best interest of the group to initiate the search for a
successor in advance of David`s retirement in February 2012. David has been
Financial Director since 1992 and we knew that the internal and external search-
process would take time. With David`s agreement and active support, the board
therefore initiated a process of finding a successor for him in February 2010,
to allow for sufficient time to identify the best candidate and to plan for a
smooth handover period. Since then, the nominations` committee has considered
numerous internal and external candidates with due regard to the experience and
profile that is required for the position. We are pleased that we were able to
identify an excellent candidate well in advance, and to the board`s
satisfaction."
Trevor Munday added, "Manuela Krog started her career with Deloitte & Touche
where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) in 1996. She was
appointed as an audit partner in 1999 and has served many clients in diverse
industries with a specific focus on manufacturing, tourism and group audits
since then. I am confident that Manuela`s experience and proven track record
will stand the group in good stead going forward." Munday paid tribute to
Rawlinson`s contribution as Financial Director, "Dave has played a pivotal role
in the significant growth and success that the group has achieved over the last
two decades. He has been a highly skilled and much admired financial director.
We are fortunate that he will impart his experience and knowledge to Manuela
during the planned handover period.
