CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO EFFECT A BUYOUT AND
DELISTING OF UNIVERSAL
Shareholders are advised that the company has received a non-binding expression
of interest in a transaction that may result in an offer being made to
shareholders for their shares in the company and the delisting of the company`s
shares from the JSE Limited.
The non-binding expression of interest does not constitute a firm intention on
the part of any party to make an offer for the purposes of the Fundamental
Transactions and Takeover Regulations published in terms of the Companies Act,
71 of 2008.
Accordingly, pending further announcements, shareholders are advised to exercise
caution when dealing in their Universal shares.
