Change in Board of Directors
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the Company would like to advise its shareholders of the following
changes to the board of directors.
On 30 May 2011, the board made the following appointments:
Mr Thierry Louis Joseph Guibert (Thierry) (40) has been appointed to the board
of directors and Mrs Mariza Nel (37), has been appointed as an alternate
director. Both appointments are classified as Executive.
Thierry, a French resident, began his career as auditor and financial consultant
for KPMG audit. He joined the financial department of PPR (listed in France) in
1999 and served as the Financial Control Director of the PPR group. He was
appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Conforama Holdings S.A. in
June 2008. Thierry holds a Degree from the Reims Business School.
Mariza, Global Head of Human Resources and Director of Steinhoff International
Group Services, joined Steinhoff in 2004. Mariza qualified as a Chartered
Management Accountant in the UK and held various positions within Scottish and
Newcastle plc, in Europe from 1996 to 2004. Since joining Steinhoff in 2004,
Mariza has been actively involved in many functions across the group, both
operationally and corporately.
