NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
With reference to an announcement made on 28 March 2011, Mr J Bowles, a person
discharging managerial responsibilities, was granted an award of 7,288 British
American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") under the Deferred
Share Bonus Scheme at an award price of 2,377 pence per Share (the "Original
Award"). The Company has since been advised that the Original Award granted to
Mr Bowles was calculated incorrectly. As a consequence, on 9 June 2011, the
Original Award was amended by awarding a further 2,219 Shares to Mr Bowles at
2,377 pence per Share, being the same price as the Original Award, resulting in
a total Deferred Share Bonus Scheme award for 2011 of 9,507 Shares.
Following this notification, Mr Bowles has a total beneficial and family
interest in 37,053 Shares (including 20,112 Deferred Shares).
