CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited
("Listings Requirements"), the board of directors of Goliath Gold ("the
Board") hereby notifies its shareholders that Mr Jerry Vilakazi has been
appointed as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Jerry was, up until the end of May 2011, Chief Executive Officer of Business
Unity South Africa, prior to which he was Managing Director of the Black
Management Forum. He was appointed to the National Planning Commission and to
the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Advisory Council by President,
Jacob Zuma, and was previously a member of the Public Service Commission. He
brings extensive local and international experience and networks in the
private sector as well as in government.
Jerry is currently the non-executive chairman of Netcare Limited, the largest
private healthcare group in South Africa and holds non-executive directorships
which include PPC Limited and Palama Investments.
He has served on the King Committee on Corporate Governance, the National Anti-
Corruption Forum, Business Against Crime, the SADC Employer Group, the EU-
Southern Africa Business Council and on a number of international business
councils.
Jerry`s qualifications include a BA (Unisa), MA (Thames Valley), MA (London)
and a MBA (California Coast University).
The Board welcomes Jerry and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
In addition, the Board hereby notifies its shareholders that the function of
Mr Keith Rayner, currently an independent non-executive director, has changed
to that of deputy chairman and lead independent non-executive director with
immediate effect.
