DISRUPTIONS TO OPERATIONS AT PILANESBURG PLATINUM MINE
June 24, 2011: TORONTO: Platmin Limited ("Platmin" or "the Company"; TSX/AIM:
PPN; JSE: PLN) advises that on Thursday, 23 June, certain employees of mining
contractor MCC illegally disrupted operations at the Pilanesburg Platinum Mine.
These disruptions comprised intimidation of supervisors, illegal industrial
action and damage to property and equipment. The South African Police Services
was called in to safeguard employees, prevent further damage and stabilize the
situation.
Mining operations have been suspended. Processing operations are continuing
utilising the mine`s stockpile.
Platmin is working closely with MCC to resolve matters and will make a further
announcement in due course.
