In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of Santam Limited ("the board") hereby notifies
its shareholders that Messrs GE Rudman and P de V Rademeyer have resigned as Non
Executive Directors with effect from 30 June 2011. George Rudman served on the
board since January 1996. Flip Rademeyer was appointed to the Santam board
during February 2001. Both Messrs Rudman and Rademeyer have contributed
significantly to the success of Santam and Management and the Board take this
opportunity of thanking them for their loyal and dedicated contribution to the
Group and wish them well in their future endeavours.
