The independent Trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trust
(the "Trust") notified the Company on 1 July 2011 that it had on 30 June 2011
transferred the beneficial interest in a total of 74,962 British American
Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") subject to awards granted
under the British American Tobacco 2007 Long Term Incentive Plan (the "2007
