("THE ACQUISITION")
The directors of Mercantile are pleased to announce that all the conditions
precedent have now been fulfilled, including approval from the Bank Supervision
Department of the South African Reserve Bank, and that the Acquisition was
implemented on Friday 1 July 2011. The parties will now work towards leveraging
their combined strengths to harvest potential business and revenue opportunities
for Mercantile and MultiRisk.
