APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The board of directors of Pretoria Portland Cement Company Limited ("PPC") is
pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Tryphosa Ramano to the board as an
executive director and to the position of chief financial officer (CFO) with
effect from 1 August 2011.
Mr Peter Esterhuysen, who in addition to his role as CFO has been heading PPC`s
business development activities during the past year will relinquish his CFO
responsibilities and his board appointment will be changed to that of the
executive director responsible for PPC`s business development and international
expansion.
Mr Esterhuysen has 15 years` experience in the company and has served on the
board as CFO since 2003. His new role on the board is aligned with the company`s
long-term continuity plans.
Ms Ramano has established an impressive track record in the financial
profession. Her curriculum vitae boasts positions ranging from auditing,
investment management and corporate finance to being the CFO of SAA from 2004 to
2006 and most recently the CFO of WIPHOLD.
