Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
Protech is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Antony Page (50) as a
director to the Protech Board and as Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Mr Page will officially commence his duties from 1 September 2011. Shareholders
are referred to the SENS announcement of Wednesday 10 November 2010 wherein the
resignation of the previous CEO, Mr Gerald Chapman, was announced. Mr Julian
Dovey fulfilled the role of acting CEO from 1 December 2010 to date and will
continue acting in this capacity until Mr Page officially assumes his duties.
Mr Page joins Protech from Aveng Grinaker-LTA where he has been the Managing
Director of the Grinaker-LTA Earthworks Engineering Business since 2007. Mr
Page is credited with the complete turnaround, transformation and redesign of
that organisation. He has been one of the longest standing Main Board Directors
of the Aveng Grinaker-LTA Group of Companies. This position has given him Senior
Executive experience across the whole spectrum of multi-disciplinary
construction activities, as well as major projects. He has held several Senior
Management and Executive positions during his 28 year career in the Construction
and Civil Engineering industry and has extensive local experience as well as
having broad international exposure. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Civil
Engineering and is currently in the final phase of studying for a Masters in
Business Administration.
Protech welcomes Mr Page to the Board and wishes him well in his new role as the
Chief Executive Officer.
