A portfolio in the db x-trackers Collective Investment Scheme in Securities,
registered as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act,
45 of 2002.
DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT - SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2011
The manager and trustee have resolved to make a distribution to holders of dbx
USA securities recorded in the register on 24 June 2011 in respect of the six
months ended 30 June 2011
Details of the distribution are set out below:
* The distribution payable to holders will be an amount in ZAR equivalent to
USD 0.00297 (point two nine seven cents) per dbx USA security (the "USD
distribution amount").
* The USD distribution amount will be converted to ZAR at the exchange rate
prevailing on or about Wednesday, 20 July 2011, details of which will be
released on SENS on or about Thursday, 21 July 2011.
* The distribution will be paid to holders on or about Tuesday, 26 July 2011.
Holders of dbx USA securities who hold 100 000 or more dbx USA securities may
elect to receive the distribution in USD payable to their "foreign USD cash
account held at the applicable USD clearer". Such election is to be conveyed to
db x-trackers (Proprietary) Limited ("db x-trackers") via the holder`s CSDP in
the required format by no later than Monday, 18 July 2011, failing which holders
will be paid the ZAR equivalent referred to above.
The USD distribution amount (which represents a pro rata portion of the
distributable income of the portfolio) has been calculated after deduction of
any foreign withholding tax payable by db x-trackers on dividends. The USD
distribution amount of USD 0.00297 per dbx USA security is calculated as
follows:
* Gross foreign dividends of USD 0.01077 (one point zero seven seven cents);
* Less: Withholding tax of USD 0.00179 (point one seven nine cents);
* Plus interest and equalisation of USD 0.00021 (point zero two one cents);
* Less: Management fee of USD 0.00622 (point six two two cents).
The information set out above is published for information purposes only.
Holders should contact their tax advisers as regards the applicable tax
treatment of the USD distribution amount and the withholding tax.
