DISTRIBUTION FINALISATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the announcement released on SENS on 2 June 2011, holders of NewSA
Shari`ah 40 securities are advised that there will be a distribution of 2 cent
payable per security for the period ended 30 June 2011.
The distribution of 2 cent comprises:
2 cent dividends
The distribution will be paid on Wednesday, 20 July 2011 for all shareholders on
the register on Friday, 24 June 2011.
Purification of dividends
The appropriate purification of dividends, through the donation of 5% of the
dividends to charity, is to be effected by each investor. Absa Islamic
Banking`s Shari`ah Supervisory Board (SSB) has provided the following list of
approved charitable institutions. The list is not exhaustive and it is therefore
not obligatory to use one of the specified charities.
